Lifting the Spirit of Children

Recently, a damaging flood resulted in the displacement of people in the community of Kashetchewan, which is near James Bay. The local children from their school had to be relocated to Kapuskasing.

When teacher Libby St Jean and the Positive Climates 4 Learning Club at Boxwood Public School in Markham, contacted us about the Kashetchewan kid’s plight, we were happy to help out.

The kids at Boxwood PS came up with the idea to put together backpacks full of school supplies to send north. We were happy to produce and donate 200 backpacks to the children.

When we dropped them off they had an amazing thankyou letter written out and signed by their club.

Boxwood thank you letter to Ravenshoe Group

We truly hope the children enjoy their new school and temporary stay in Kapaskasing. We also wish them a Merry Xmas and all the best in turning a negative situation into a positive, growth experience. Lets’ hope 2015 is a good year for them.

If you’d like to make a corporate donation to the school, please contact Libby St Jean at Boxwood Public School in Markham.
